It should be possible to run 2 macros simultaneously, imagine both are setting up Keys / Transitions, once they have setup their states, they both enter a USERWAIT state. There is another key feature which is supposed to be there but in typical BMD style, decided they didn't need. Suffice to say it's a critical feature, which is "required" if you are automating your show production to any extent. USERWAIT comes from Grass Valley macros / timelines and has been copied by pretty much everyone. OLAY sequences fall into this category too.Įven lower 3rds might: Run the Macro to bring on the caption, enter a USER WAIT State, and when CONTINUE issued, de-animate / animate-out the lower 3rd. You might apply the same principle to a TITLES sequence which is updated everyday with new Teaser clips, which may be different lengths everyday, or again with variable length voice-overs. You can use the same 3 line reveal macro graphic every day and simply change the text, hence different length "script explanations" being read by the presenter, doesn't require re-sequencing, it's under TD control. Now that could be "timed", but then you would need to adjust the timing of the graphic to match the reading pace of the presenter, or consider, perhaps you do a 3 line reveal every day showing the weather or a set of stock market closes. ![]() Step 3: TD Continues again to 3rd line of graphic TD is taking cue of when to reveal line and the 3rd line almost from the presenter, when they have finished talking about previous reveal. Step 2: TD hits CONTINUE, and Line 2 reveals. USER WAIT while presenter talks about Line 1 of graphic ![]() Step 1: Mix to full frame background, reveal graphics titles and Line 1 ![]() It allows for an indeterminate length pause in a macro.Ĭonsider a pretty common 3 point reveal Graphic.
